Barton’s Family Festival Teddy Rides will be carrying on a proud tradition of bringing smiles to the faces of local residents and visitors alike as teddies whizz around in planes, fly in a mini space shuttle and take the bungee plunge from the top of the church tower.
There’s nothing quite like it anywhere else and this year sees the 21st anniversary of the first bungee ride at St James’ Church in Barton. This was originally created as an ‘add-on’ to the village’s Open Gardens which had been running for a number of years as a fund-raiser for the church.
After that the Teddy Rides took on a life of their own with new rides being added or existing rides modified almost every year.
